Streamlining Operations with Point of Rental
Prior to using Syrinx, PACK managed its operations through a combination of a docket book, Word documents, and Xero for invoicing. That system held things together for a bit, but as their inventory expanded and customer base grew…they knew they needed dedicated hire software.
“As we got bigger, it proved to be challenging to manage,” said renewables manager Shayla Harrowfield. “Point of Rental really streamlined that for us. Now we’ve got all the things we need in one spot.”
Flexible Solutions for Unique Situations
One of the things that PACK have found useful is how Point of Rental’s team is able to provide solutions to unique challenges.
One of PACK’s longstanding customers were set up for recurring billing at the end of each month. However, a project came up where they needed to be billed on a different date to accommodate customer needs.
Point of Rental provided a process to create a batch template for that specific project. This allowed everyone’s contract obligations to be met without disrupting existing workflows, and it gave them the tools to accommodate similar situations in the future.

Most projects don’t require contacting support, though – uLearn, Point of Rental’s educational resource, is available 24/7 within the product.
“I’ve definitely leaned on [uLearn] on a number of occasions and found the answers and instructions I needed,” Shayla said. As PACK expands, uLearn’s thorough process documentation and AI-powered searchability will ease new team members’ onboarding challenges.
