Meet Our Team
In 1982, three entrepreneurs opened
Overland Rentals, Inc., a general rental
store in Arlington, Texas. Working
in the store on a daily basis, they
quickly recognized the need for a
counter computer system that could
handle the day-to-day transactions,
quotes, reservations, inventory control,
and paperwork of their growing business.
They investigated five systems of that
era but they were slow, inflexible and
expensive…clearly the industry needed a
better solution!
Relying on previous computer
programming expertise with NASA, and
their own day-to-day experience behind
the counter, they designed the
Point-of-Rental™ System! Then, using it
daily, they fine-tuned and perfected it
into the fast, flexible system that it
is today.
Come discover what over 1500 rental
stores already know... how a
Point-of-Rental™ System will increase
both the profitability and manageability
of your store!

Wayne Harris
President and CEO
Wayne started his rental career at age
of 11 in his family’s rental store in Ada, OK. In 1985, his parents purchased
a Point-of-Rental™ System, and Wayne
quickly established himself as their
tech support while still in high school.
In 1993, after attending Massachusetts
Institute of Technology as well as East
Central University in Oklahoma, Wayne’s
Computer Science degree (and his
mother’s bragging on him to Bob and
Steve) landed him the position of Senior
Programmer at Point-of-Rental™ Systems.
In 1996, he began converting our Legacy
product to run on Microsoft's Server
operating systems which resulted in our
phenomenal Windows®-based Enterprise. In
2004, Wayne became Vice President of
Overland Rentals, Inc., the parent
company of Point-of-Rental™ Systems. At
that time, he began overseeing the daily
operations. In 2011, he was named
president and CEO.
