This year’s RER 100 topped $40 billion in rental volume for the first time, adding more than $5.6 billion in revenue, the fourth-largest increase since 2000.

How’d we get here? The big story for the industry was mergers and acquisitions; three Point of Rental users from 2023’s list were acquired by companies in the list’s top 6: A to Z Equipment Rentals & Sales (Sunbelt), ChaseCo (H&E), and Precision Equipment Rental (United Rentals).

Tates Rents in Idaho joined the Point of Rental crew on the list this year, leaping into No. 76, and everyone else remained on the list, finding a variety of ways to grow.

SitePro Rentals added six branches throughout Texas and the Southeastern U.S. PDQ Rentals added three locations in Southern California. Durante Rentals acquired Iron Source LLC, expanding into the DMV market. Tejas Equipment Rental acquired Hallman Equipment Rentals and grew into the DFW area. Rental Guys bought Aba Daba Rents to expand their Northern California & Nevada footprint.

Others expanded their software functionality, making enhancements to their online presence and getting more efficient overall. You can learn more about every company’s 2023 story by checking out this month’s RER magazine.

We’re excited to celebrate all of our users who made the list, no matter how they grew their business last year!

Congratulations to everyone who made this year’s RER 100!
