Rental Management Magazine announced their 2023 “12 to watch under 40” list this month, featuring five Point of Rental users.
The list features many of the best and brightest young professionals under the age of 40 who have become involved in managing and running rental businesses as well as participating in other industry activities at the local, state and national levels. This year’s selections include a cross-section of professionals throughout the world that are helping to shape the future of the equipment and event rental industry.
We’d recommend reading this month’s magazine, but we also want to call attention to the folks on the list that we work with:
Allison McIntosh from Taylor Rental Concord in Concord, New Hampshire, started her career in rental back in 2019 and fell in love with the diversity of what was happening in the store as well as its family-oriented workplace. Recently, she became the co-owner of the organization, stepping in to help save a 50-plus-year-old business from closing permanently, and now helps lead the ARA of New Hampshire.
Raymond Gardner from Rent Smart in Grant, Michigan, started a bit earlier in life – he’s been prepping for a career in rental since he was six years old. He, too, values the uniqueness of each day in the rental industry. Earlier this year, he took a position on the ARA of Michigan board.
Darrick Farr from A-1 Party and Event Rental in Columbia, Missouri, began his rental journey in college as a way to help pay tuition. Within a couple years, he moved up to become a general manager and has helped modernize the company’s labor while taking pride in creating a fun work environment. He’s been a member of the ARA of Missouri board since 2021.
Adam & Carson Sneed, from Big Sky Rents in Kalispell, Montana, also grew up in the industry and have been involved since their youth. While Sunbelt acquired Big Sky Rents earlier in 2023, they’ve stayed on as the operations manager and profit center manager. Adam participated in the International Rental Business Leadership Program this year and Carson has joined the ARA’s Young Professionals Committee.
Allison Freeman from Chair-man Mills Corp. in Toronto, joined Canada’s largest tent and event solutions provider at the top as the company’s CEO in 2022. She’s passionate about how the industry fosters connections and helps create memorable moments for the people it serves every day. She looks forward to the rental industry’s upcoming digital transformation across the customer journey.
Congratulations as well to everyone else who was honored! Click on their names below to see their stories on the ARA website.
