Point of Rental Acquires Syrinx by Higher Concept Software

Today, US-based Point of Rental, Inc., announced the acquisition of UK-based Syrinx by Higher Concept Software, merging two industry leaders in rental management software. Point of Rental currently serves over 2700 customer locations in more than 33 countries, but with the addition of Syrinx’s 2000 customers in more than 10 countries, this merger makes Point of Rental one of the largest rental software providers in the world.

The UK offices will continue to operate under Syrinx’s current staff with managing director, Mark Goodrum, leading the team in Reading. Currently, both companies have offices in Australia that will continue to serve and support that market. Harris noted that under the new name of Point of Rental Software, Syrinx staff will continue to provide the superior support and customer service for which they have become known over the past twenty years.

The merger will bring Point of Rental’s cloud-based software and ERP solution to the European market alongside Syrinx, adding more software options for businesses of all sizes and industries. While Point of Rental Expert and Syrinx are both scalable to small or mid-sized businesses, Point of Rental Essentials provides cloud-based mobility for straightforward rental and inventory-only needs, and Point of Rental Elite provides customized ERP software built to handle even the largest corporations worldwide.
