Point-of-Rental® Software and Positek RFID together announce the first fully integrated RFID solution for inventory management software in the rental industry. By integrating Positek RFID with Point-of-Rental inventory management software, asset counts are automated, giving businesses the unique ability to update inventory based on RFID scans. Applying this technology to the linen business, Prime Time Party Rental, a long time Point-of-Rental customer located in Dayton, Ohio, served as the beta-test site for the new service.
“When three visionaries like Point-of-Rental, Positek RFID and Prime Time Party Rental combine their strengths, the industry takes notice,” said Bart Nye, President of Prime Time Party Rental. Nye first approached Positek about tagging linens with RFID tags over four years ago. “Since then,” he said, “the technology enhancements in RFID have made that dream a reality and with all my assets tagged, I now know truly where all my losses are.”
Utilizing either stationary or fixed RFID readers with Positek tagged items, instantaneous counts are added to Point-of-Rental software to validate contracts, plus charge for missing or damaged items.

Press Conference and Booth Demonstrations at The Rental Show 2015
The three companies, Point-of-Rental, Positek RFID and Prime Time Party Rental will host a press conference to showcase RFID capabilities for the rental industry during The Rental Show 2015 on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to noon in Room 274 at the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.
