VB.NET Developer

Job Description: Point-of-Rental Software is seeking an experienced IT professional proficient in VB.Net to join our development team. You will be using VB.Net and other Microsoft based technologies to help develop and maintain our suite of rental industry targeted products.

Qualifications:

  • Experience building software on Microsoft’s technology stack (VS, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server).  MS certification is a plus.

  • 2+ years’ experience with VB.Net and SQL Server

  • Experience in system design and development, including multi-tier, database, and third-party integration.

  • Understanding of common design patterns (MV*)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, or as part of a team, to design and develop software projects as assigned (VB.Net, SQL Server)

  • Analyze, diagnose and correct problems in existing programs.

  • Adhere to development standards and TFS version control procedures.

  • Prepare technical documentation

  • Prepare and complete unit testing

Job Description: Responsible for training new system users and supporting existing users of Point of Rental® Software. Rental experience is a must. Training is performed at our offices, online and at client sites resulting in up to 50% travel.

Qualifications:Good understanding of equipment and/or party rental operations including counter operations and accounting. Experience with company’s Point of Rental® Software is a plus. Strong computer skills are required.

Job Description:  Prospect, qualify and generate leads within established sales territories via phones calls and emails through the sales pipeline while utilizing various desktop viewing software applications to complete online presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
