Point of Rental Customers Rise in RER 100

The RER 100 list for 2016 is out and, according to the numbers, it was a great year to be a Point of Rental customer (although we hope that’s always the case). Eleven companies on the list use our software, and each one of them rose in their ranking from where they were in 2015.

Without further ado, here are the Point of Rental customers that earned their way onto the list:

39. Art’s Rental Equipment – Art’s serves Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana and has been doing it for 50 years. They moved up from No. 44 on the list in 2015.

47. Star Rentals – Up from No. 51 last year, they’ve moved to a more spacious HQ in Kent, Wash., enabling them to improve efficiency and reduce commutes for staff. They’ve diversified their customer base and continue to expand.

49. Location D’Outils Simplex – The Quebec-based aerial rental specialists signed up with Rental Elite in 2017 as they celebrate their 110th anniversary by moving up six spaces on the list from No. 55.

55. Hugg & Hall Equipment – RPM Services & Rentals, which Hugg & Hall acquired in 2016, runs their strong commercial and construction rental business with Rental Expert.

63. Rental Equipment Investment Corp. – Columbia River Machinery, a 2017 acquisition for REIC, uses Rental Expert for their seven locations in the Pacific Northwest.

74. Diamond Rental – Utah’s leading general rental company had a 22.7 percent rental volume surge in 2016, helping move them up 15 spots from No. 89 in 2015.

76. PDQ Rentals – PDQ Rentals’ business picked up so much in 2016 they’re opening a third branch. Their rental volume grew 10.7 percent as they jumped 10 spots in the rankings from No. 86.

90. Champion Rentals – Champion Rentals’ James Horsley has been running businesses in rental for 35 years, and this year Champion is up six spots from last year’s No. 96.

97. Birch Equipment Rentals & Sales – Another Pacific Northwest powerhouse, Birch provides construction and industrial equipment rental to Washington and Alaska. They moved up a spot from No. 98.

100. Aaction Rents – No, that’s not a misspelling – Aaction Rents is a family-owned California equipment rental company that’s so good they’ve earned two A’s at the beginning of their name. They moved up from No. 106.

RER didn’t stop their listing at No. 100, though. Our friends at A Tool Shed (No. 102, up from No. 107 in 2015) and Excavator Rental Services (No. 103; they were unlisted in 2015) also made the list.

Congratulations to everyone in the RER 100. We look forward to seeing what our customers can do in 2017!

We’ve all done it.   When I worked in the event industry, there was one year where people started asking about gold flatware. We jumped to stay ahead of the trend, purchasing over 1,000 pieces of gold place settings to match our existing gold-band plates. The fad never fully materialized,
