Collin Pike, Chief Architect of Cloud Engineering

As Point of Rental expands its cloud software offerings, we’re needing to ensure that data is organized in a way that allows our customers to access it quickly. Enter Collin Pike and the Cloud Engineering team.

We talked to Collin about his childhood dreams of being a fighter pilot, how he ended up going from physical clouds to a metaphorical one, and some of his hobbies. We learned about several FAA rules (Collin is a pilot, even if he doesn’t have a fighter), geographical and temporal mapping of potential terror threats, and other weird stuff, like his fear of whales.

And if you’re interested in what cloud engineering is about, he and Lauren also explained it in a way that you’ll understand.
