Just north of Melbourne, Green Power Solutions (GPS) is redefining the future of power and lighting solutions. “Artika and I use Point of Rental every day,” said Louisa Ciavarella, Senior Admin & Operations Officer at GPS. “Operationally, it has helped us manage our technicians and make sure we’re staying on top of servicing all of our equipment.”

 

This helps ensure that all of GPS’s equipment is maintained and operating at peak efficiency, which reduces waste and emissions.

 

“It really helps me maintain records for us and for our clients,” added fellow admin team member Artika Deo. Point of Rental tracks their averages to ensure that the biodiesel that’s being provided is hitting its sustainability requirements.

 

Paperless Operations

A company like GPS, focused heavily on sustainable solutions, can’t be printing out thousands of sheets of paper a month, just to recycle it all. The company uses Syrinx’s app suite, allowing their technicians to track their works on the app onsite, tracking fueling and maintenance. This realtime data is also updated so they can share that information with customers, especially during billing cycles.

 

“We’ve been able to meet our sustainability targets by using apps and the program – being able to email quotes, have digital dockets for our fuel runs, service reports, things like that,” said Louisa. “That’s really helped in the sustainability space, and it keeps us in line with what the industry needs as well. Point of Rental’s done a great job with giving us those tools.”

 

Strong Support

A complete digital solution doesn’t come at the expense of personal connection or support with Point of Rental.

 

“A lot of our bigger customers are after sustainability reports,” said Louisa. “Point of Rental actually made a report for us specifically, and we were able to use that to show the carbon reductions for customers using biodiesel against standard diesel.”

 

The customised report is part of a broader pattern of support the GPS team feels when they contact Point of Rental.

 

“They’re always so friendly and so helpful. Whenever we do have something we feel we may need to bring into the business to do things better, we’ll reach out to them and within a day or so we’ve got a meeting set up,” Louisa said. “I’ve been getting follow-up calls and emails to see if there was anything else in the system that we weren’t utilising – I think they really go above and beyond to make sure that their customers have everything that they need for their business needs.”

The company is excited about an upcoming move to the cloud-based Syrinx 365, as well, and the additional tools that will bring their company.
