Point-of-Rental Software Rolls Out Enterprise 2013

Finally, we’ve begun releasing the update many companies have been waiting for – Enterprise 2013.

Currently being installed on a rolling schedule to users on software support, Enterprise 2013 is the most monumental update in Point-of-Rental’s thirty year history. The entire rental management software program has been converted to the Microsoft .NET Framework which has been a long laborious task, but one definitely worth the effort. Among many benefits, the move to the new framework ensures the longevity of Point-of-Rental software, and because .NET allows integration with leading edge technology, our programmers can continue providing rental companies with the most advanced rental software available.

Just to name a few, the first, but by no means greatest changes you will notice are the user-interface attributes which include the use of the scroll wheel on the mouse and a new color scheme.

Spell-check, timeline view and multiple languages available for printed documents are more user-friendly improvements. In addition, a ton of report improvements have occurred in this update, including the ability to go directly from a report to a contract or Customer Balance.

With the conversion being the bulk of this update, the majority of changes are obviously “under the hood,” but our innovative team of software engineers still packed in plenty of features that are sure to impress.

If you are attending The Rental Show in Vegas, be sure to stop by our booth, number 1661, for a firsthand look at Enterprise 2013.

Stop Stocking So Many Parts!

We’ve all done it.   When I worked in the event industry, there was one year where people started asking about gold flatware. We jumped to stay ahead of the trend, purchasing over 1,000 pieces of gold place settings to match our existing gold-band plates. The fad never fully materialized,
