FORT WORTH, Texas \u2014 Rental<\/em> Magazine honored Point of Rental today with an Editor\u2019s Choice Award<\/a> for its efforts in 2020 to help rental businesses transition to contactless processes.<\/p>\n

During the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, as rental businesses attempted to determine whether or not they were deemed \u201cessential,\u201d Point of Rental took its electronic signature<\/a> product and made it work independently of its software. This allowed businesses using any rental software to capture signatures contactlessly. When companies needed a way to collect payments digitally and easily as well, they added that functionality within a week.<\/p>\n

Over the months that the company was offering free setup and 90 days\u2019 worth of unlimited signatures, they gave away $1.3 million worth of software to help keep rental businesses running during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201c2020 was a tough year throughout the industry; it forced a lot of innovation, problem-solving, and working together to get through it,\u201d said Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris. \u201cWe\u2019re glad that so many people found eSign & Pay to be helpful in their businesses and in their lives, and we look forward to helping the industry build back up to what we all were envisioning pre-COVID.\u201d<\/p>\n

Point of Rental joined other rental leaders Briggs & Stratton, JLG, Powr2, and Wacker Neuson in earning Rental Editor\u2019s Choice Awards this year. Winners were chosen by Rental\u2019s editorial team based on several factors, including innovation, utility for the rental market, and audience engagement.<\/p>\n
