It’s beginning to feel\u00a0a lot like Christmas here at Point-of-Rental – you walk down the hall and may hear Earl singing his favorite carol (God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, of course), the salesmen have visions of “demos” dancing in their heads, and even David has a grin on his face every day.\u00a0We bet you’re thinking, “How in the world did you\u00a0get\u00a0him\u00a0to do that?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, we wish we knew the answer to why he’s so happy, but\u2026 we actually don’t. Perhaps it was the fact that Santa made an appearance at the Point-of-Rental family Christmas party last Sunday\u00a0(more details and photos of that to come in a later blog post). Or maybe he is just elated that this year, the Community Involvement Committee chose to\u00a0adopt three children,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Jemiel<\/span><\/span>, Kelly, and Damien, from the Salvation Army Angel Tree program and give employees the opportunity to provide them with necessities and gifts for Christmas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re not aware of what the Angel Tree Program does, donors\u00a0fulfill the Christmas needs and wishes of nearly 60,000 individuals each year (to read more about the program\/The Salvation Army,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>click here<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

We are new to the Point-of-Rental family, as we’ve both been here about four months, but we were so\u00a0impressed by the incredible amount of generosity that employees showed for this cause. In a<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>three-week<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>span of collecting donations,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>any\u00a0expectations we had<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>were exceeded\u00a0and the\u00a0true spirit of Christmas was evident as staff members banded\u00a0together and\u00a0contributed\u00a0to the cause.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the participation\u00a0of the employees, we\u00a0were able to donate four\u00a0large bags for the children –\u00a0Each child received necessities such as a nice warm coat, socks, shoes, pants, shirts, and underwear\/diapers, as well as a few fun things like toys & sports equipment!\u00a0In total, gave 37 gifts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Like you, we all celebrate this season, listen to the holiday tunes, and run in and out of the malls shopping, trying to check off this and that\u00a0on our lists. If you want to\u00a0experience this season\u00a0in\u00a0the fullest, however, we’ve found that the deepest joy lies in giving and providing for those that may not have a Christmas.\u00a0We hope that you get the opportunity, like we have, to\u00a0give back\u00a0or reach out to someone in need this holiday season. After all, Santa is watching, isn’t he?<\/span><\/p>\n
