FORT WORTH \u2014 Point of Rental\u2019s new Consumer Portal empowers rental businesses of all sizes to deliver an eCommerce experience rivaling the biggest companies in the industry.<\/p>\n

The eCommerce solution provides online self-service features to Elite RMS-subscribing rental store\u2019s consumers. Users have around-the-clock, real-time access to manage their accounts, create contracts, see statements, pay invoices, call items off rent, and more. Consumer Portal not only empowers renters, but it frees up phone lines and enables rental owners and operators to focus on growing their businesses.<\/p>\n

\u00abWhen I talk with rental leaders, they pride themselves on their in-person customer service. But consumer preferences have shifted over the past decade, accelerating during the COVID outbreak. Providing great customer service now requires eCommerce features,\u201d said eCommerce Product Manager Caleb Yell.<\/p>\n

\u201cConsumers expect to be able to get information, service, and make payments 24\/7. Consumer Portal allows every rental business to stay competitive in an increasingly demanding marketplace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Consumer Portal is already integrated with Point of Rental\u2019s Elite software and is available in two tiers – Basic and Advanced. Basic is available for free for any customer with an Elite subscription and includes 24\/7 login ability to view and pay current contracts. The Advanced option has a monthly user cost but offers many additional features, such as advanced rented item searching, initiating off-rent requests, and viewing items in the field via GPS, with more on the way.<\/p>\n

Integration work has started with Point of Rental\u2019s other RMS products and should be available in the coming months.<\/p>\n
