Simon Gibbons, a 30-year veteran of the hire industry, joined Point of Rental as the company\u2019s new Business Development and Implementation Manager on November 5. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be able to add someone of Simon\u2019s calibre and with his in-depth industry knowledge,\u201d said Managing Director Mark Goodrum. \u201cWe\u2019re committed to providing hire expertise along with our software, and Simon brings knowledge of, and experience with, nearly every aspect of running a hire business.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHaving used Point of Rental\u2019s software in a number of previous positions, and having dealt with the company as a customer, it\u2019s always been clear to me that their commitment to their products and their customers was second to none,\u201d Gibbons said. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll through the interview process, I felt as though I was already part of a great team,\u201d said Gibbons. \u201cI have known Mark Goodrum for many years and I\u2019m privileged to be given the opportunity to use my many years\u2019 experience within the hire industry to help influence the development going forward.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Gibbons started his hire career in 1992 with Jewson Builders Merchant as an Operations Manager and has been managing top London-based hire businesses since, from Speedy Hire to A-Plant to Travis Perkins. As a regional manager, he oversaw more than 204 branches and multiple satellite locations. In recent years, he\u2019s worked as both a sales director and a growth manager, honing leadership skills he\u2019ll bring to his new position. <\/span><\/p>\n
