POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems Announces New Website Debut

POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems, a major provider of Windows® based rental management software recently launched a major update to its website.  The newly redesigned site, which can be viewed at http://www.point-of-rental.com, features a more corporate look as well as streamlined navigation that helps prospective and existing customers easily find the information they need.  “We now have a website that better reflects the quality and scalability that POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems is recognized for throughout the various rental industries we serve,” says company President Bob Shaffer.

The site is designed to better project the various rental industries that POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Software fits including the rental of construction equipment, tents, party, audio/visual many other markets.  Customers of POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems will enjoy a newly designed user forum that facilitates learning and idea sharing amongst the community.

Andre Farci, webmaster and website developer for POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems, acknowledges that the revamped site should also draw more customers to the company’s website hosting service.  This optional feature automatically uploads a store’s inventory including pictures and pricing (optional) from their POINT-OF-RENTAL™ database into the store’s own website. Other features include a shopping cart and customer portal.  “The new look of our redesigned company website will give our prospects and existing customers a taste of the quality we can offer with POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems webhosting,” Farci states.  “The new POINT-OF-RENTAL™ site combined valuable feedback from our existing customers as well as from our own marketing, development and support departments.” 

The new design is expected to support POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems’ continued growth while existing customers benefit from the new centralized authentication system that provides them with a library of monthly tips, instructional videos and other useful documents that will only be available to POINT-OF-RENTAL™ registered users.

The rental software training seminars are focused on how to effectively utilize POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems in the rental business, including the newest features introduced in the latest software updates. Topics covered include operations, inventory management, customer management, database management, accounting, and marketing. Attendees also have the opportunity to mingle with other Point-of-Rental users over a catered lunch and learn how others are using their systems.

POINT-OF-RENTAL™  wins RER Innovative Product Award

The 2008 RER Innovative Product Award for the Computer Software category was awarded to POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems for the Dispatch Center Module option. The RER Innovative Product Awards were established in 2003 to honor excellence in new product development in the rental industry. The Point-of-Rental Dispatch Module was selected by a panel of industry experts for its innovative ability to efficiently route delivery vehicles.

POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems, a major provider of rental management systems, successfully completed the installation of its rental management software at Northwood Rentals in Hyde Park, Utah. Northwood Rentals was the 1000th store to install the company’s software.

Started in 1999, Northwood Rentals is a large general rental store. Their inventory ranges from full size backhoes to party items and costumes. POINT-OF-RENTAL™ Systems, a division of Overland Rentals, Inc., started in 1982 as a general rental store. In 1984 the company introduced its rental management software at the ARA show in Dallas, TX.
